Give mum a treat on this wedding day

Give mum a treat on this wedding day

Whether your mum's had a particularly tough year, or you just wish to thank her for always being there for you, Mother's Day offers a great opportunity to let her know how much you love and appreciate her. There are a great deal of things money can't buy, so do not panic if you do not have a huge budget this year; Mum's aren't looking for expensive or flashy gifts from their children so why not make them something yourself or do something they'd appreciate. Chapter two cafe and restaurant We warmly invite you to come and enjoy some delicious, freshly prepared food straight from our own cathedral kitchen. There are also locally produced ciders made in Shepton Mallet at the famous Babycham factory. The Ring O'Bells Inn The Ring O'Bells Inn, in Wookey, was first built as alms houses in 1386, became a pub in 1769 and is arguably one of the oldest inns in Somerset. Now serving two complimentary menus: The Great British Pub Menu with beloved traditional dishes and The Jubilee Restaurant Menu, this is the best of modern British cuisine with a twist. Wadworth Real Ales, Local Ciders and Fine Wines are all available. If you want to bring a group for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or a preconcert supper please contact us to book and we'll look forward to welcoming you. Chapter two is open from 10am-5pm on Monday to Saturday, and between 11am-5pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. The Kings Arms For a special treat this mother's day why not treat her to a drink or meal at The King's Arms, one of Shepton Mallet's best-kept secrets. Known locally as the Dusthole, this ancient public house is to be found on a little twisting street away from the town centre. Whether she prefers long walks in the countryside or a shopping trip to a bustling city, it'll be a great opportunity for some mother-child bonding and will certainly make it a Mother's Day to think back to. If a whole weekend away is out of your price range, a day trip is the best alternative. Of course a beautiful bunch of flowers favourite choice for many of us but why not make this year's bunch that little bit different with an engraved vase to display them in. Other light lunch options include paninis, quiches and salads? For our more hearty dishes we are always keen to reap the benefits of the excellent local produce that Somerset has to offer, especially in the fresh seasonal ingredients of our popular daily specials. We also offer pre-concert suppers – a fantastic way to start off an evening out. Why not visit London and surprise your mum with tickets to see her favourite show, or visit the latest must-see art exhibition. Chapter two, pictured above, is fully licensed, with wine and beer available alongside a comprehensive variety of soft drinks. Their Sunday carvery is known throughout Somerset produced from local ingredients, offering a wide selection of hand carved meats and freshly steamed vegetables as well as a vegetarian option. Jewellery, whether classic pearls or something more trendy, can be tailored to her style and your budget, while a solid silver picture frame can be personalised with a beloved picture of mother and child. For something extra special why not take your mum away for a relaxing weekend break. On the outskirts of Shepton Mallet, The King's Arms is based in the small market town of Shepton Mallet, 15 miles from Bath and Bristol and close to Longleat Safari Park, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, and very near to the Royal Bath and West Showground. When it comes to spirits, fine malts are abundant and you can rest assured that your vodka will be Russian and ice cold. Inevitably the centuries have brought renovations to the pub but the fabric of the building remains unchanged and the main bar still boasts the original stone fireplace, wooden beams and wainscoting. When choosing a present try and make it as personal as is possible, if it is clear that you have put a lot of thought into your choice then a present will be appreciated that little bit more.
