| Mother's Day Gift Orders Pouring In
Mother's Day is this Sunday and some businesses in the Poconos are starting to get swamped with gift orders. "It makes you feel good when you receive flowers," said Santina Zayas of East Stroudsburg, who hopes she's getting flowers for Mother's Day. The shop is even open this Sunday, a day they are normally closed for business. At Pure Day Spa in Downtown Stroudsburg, workers said they are getting a lot of calls for Mother's Day gifts. "Lots of calls for arrangements, loose bouquets, presentation bouquets, a selection," said Alexis Batista of The Floral Boutique. "Oh my god, because we work so hard with the kids we require a day out at the spa, relaxing, no kids, no whining, no anything," said Priscilla Quiles of East Stroudsburg. When you are confused as to what mom really wants, Pure Day Spa has a few ideas. "It's so relaxing. While flowers are a great gift for mom, some mothers who spoke to Newswatch 16 said they prefer a quiet, relaxing day away. "A lot of spa packages, a lot of massages, you can pick companion massages, dad and mom, or mom and daughter massages," said Amber Johnson of Pure Day Spa. Workers there said they are ready for one of their biggest holidays of the year. "We're used to it. Of course, there are other options as well. |
