In a sign that the economy may be improving UPS officials tell us that overall volume for the week leading up to Mother's Day for both Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air is up about 750,000 packages compared to the previous week. Flowers may be big on Mother's Day but it turns out that Teddy Bears are also a popular gift. Of course most flower shipments will arrive via refrigerated trucks, but the Next Day Air night sort will receive four extra dedicated flower flights from Miami on Thursday and three of them on Friday for Saturday delivery. |
